Asfordby ICT Centre![]() The Asfordby ICT Centre is open at Asfordby Parish Hall during the following hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm The Centre offers the following FREE facilities - Internet Use Tel: 01664 813716 IMPROVEMENTSImprovements to the Asfordby ICT Centre were unveiled on Tuesday 6th June 2006. Head of Library Service, Margaret Bellamy, celebrated the changes with a short ceremony and cutting of a ribbon. Visitors to the centre can now use the new access ramp and automatic door that has improved the entry to the study centre. Facilities for computer users have also been expanded. The study centre now has two extra flat screen computers, which will enhance the service at busy times. Opening times are : Use of the computers at the ICT Centre is free, please go along and take a look at what is on your doorstep. For young people doing homework there is a member of staff available to help direct study. If you are interested in learning how to use the Internet, drop in and we can offer you an hour of tuition, free of charge, to get you started. The Library Service needs some volunteers to help our mobile library driver deliver books to people in the village who are housebound and can’t easily get along to the mobile library when makes its fortnightly calls in the village. If you could give up a little time to help with this, please contact Janet or Ruth on 01664 560161. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITYAsfordby ICT Centre is seeking volunteers to act as staff support at the Centre during the winter months, from October to March. The Centre is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm and on Friday and Saturday from 9.00 am to 12 Noon. A Volunteer is required for each of the evening sessions to provide staff support when needed. If you are 18 or over, can spare one evening a week, have a calm, helpful and friendly disposition, and would be interested in developing your own computer skills, and assisting others with theirs, this may be the right opportunity for you.
