JELSON ESTATES - Land off Loughborough Road/Morris Cam Walk

As many of you are aware Jelson Estates recently put in a planning application to develop the site off Loughborough Road adjacent Captains Close Primary School. The application was for 66 dwellings.

At the meeting of Melton Borough Council's Development Committee this application was refused. However, the Parish Council have now been advised that Jelson Estates have submitted an appeal against that decision to the Planning Inspectorate.

The appeal hearing took place on Tuesday 18 March 2008 at the offices of Melton Borough Council, Nottingham Road, Melton Mowbray. The Parish Council were granted Rule 6 Status and were able to participate fully in the hearing.

The inspector's decision is currently awaited but it is anticipated that it will be approximately 7 weeks before any decision is finally made.

HOME FARM, ASFORDBY HILL

The redevelopment of this site has now commenced. This development will provide an additional 26 dwellings.

DWYERS YARD, ASFORDBY

The second phase of this development has now commenced.
